IMATS LONDON 2013 + Haul

So last weekend 22nd-23rd June I was fortunate enough to get a blogger press pass to attend IMATS. If you don't know, IMATS is an international makeup artist trade show that runs every year at Vancouver, Sydney, Toronto, Los Angeles, New York and London. I think tickets were around £45 to get in, in order to get a wristband, which is pretty steep but for the experience, discounts and tutorials its worth it all.

{OOTD..Blogger Pass..Imats goodies}

I was lucky to be able to go to the event for Bonafide-Supernova (click the link to see more about the day) and report what happened over the weekend. This year it was held at Kensington Olympia, the olympia national hall, and it was great to be amongst professional makeup artists, makeup students, youtubers and fellow beauty lovers.

I particularly loved the talks and tutorials that happened throughout the days with tutorials from the likes of Terry Barber (MACs makeup director), Gary Cockerill (Celebrity makeup artist), Neill Gorton (Prosthetics/Special effects designer) and many many more. I was literally gobsmacked at how someone can be transformed with makeup and prosthetics to become some fantasy alien lol.

The biggest thing I think most of us beauty lovers were excited about was the nice amount of discount that was available at the makeup stalls, from cosmetic companies such as mac, makeup forever and nars to name a few. My favorite discount was Nars Cosmetics doing 60% off everything there *faints* it was crazy. The lines to buy things was out of this world also and went on forever, but for those discounts you can't really complain can you?

Here are a few things I picked up along the weekend...

The Harley Medical Experience

So as you all know if you have been reading I have had treatment with the Harley Medical Group. Every two weeks since the end of February I have had a medical microdermabrasion treatment to my face. I wanted to be able to get rid of the hyperpigmentation across my cheeks and old acne scarring from when I was a teen. So decided to opt with a trustworthy and professional company. I did regular posts on how a few treatments went and was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Within the first couple of treatments my large pores had rapidly decreased in size, and now has reduced my oily skin, I only get slightly shiny throughout the day instead of waking up in the morning with an oily t-zone. My still have slight hyperpigmentation and visible scarring but my skin is so much softer and clearer now after the treatment has finished, which was only a couple of weeks ago.

The treatment was definitely worthwhile, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The staff especially where so professional and welcoming. Throughout each session there was a relaxing vibe and I found the microdermabrasion to have a very calming effect on me, like having a mini facial that lasts 20-30 minutes as they have to prep the face for the microdermabrasion.

My skin looks a lot more perky, brighter and overall has given me a boost of confidence.

Clinique- Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector

Hey dolls, I recently have been trying out this little product from Clinique, a while back I had got a tester out of a magazine which when I had finished the product I realised I couldn't really make a review from it so had to continue my testing further.

[Clinique- £39.50 ]

With everyone wanting to have softer smoother youthful skin even at young ages, I was eager to try it out. Although i may not have deep wrinkles around my eyes many of us try anti ageing products before we are actually ageing. So why not give it a try?

The product itself is like a serum and I found that it wasn't too heavy on my skin as it has a smooth watery texture and didn't feel oily or like there was any residue left on my face. The biggest praise I have is that it did not make me break out once and skin more supple Yay! I only use it in the morning so maybe don't get the full benefits that i could get but thats fine for me in my skincare routine.

Overall a good product form clinique, lightweight serum that does not cause any breakouts that has given some positive results leaving me to still look out for the negatives!

A Spring/Summer WishlList ♥

So I'm not usually one to lust for something but lately I have been loving the colours textures and prints out there. Everything I seem to be eyeing up fits perfectly with another item. So I'm hoping this wish list is not only a wish list but slowly and surely moves from the baskets to delivery van and to my house so it’s mine!

1. Topshop|Jersey High Waisted Jeggings £30.00
2. River Island|Yellow Hawaiian Print Bralet £18.00
3.River Island |Black Dog Bite Print Tshirt Dress  £20.00
4.FootLocker|Converse All Star Leather Hi Tops (mens) $69.99/£44.98
5. Topshop|Original Black Hunter Wellies £80.00
6. River Island|Pale Pink Tropical Print Tee £10.00
7.Boohoo.com|Abbie High Rise Super Skinny Disco Jeans £25.00
8. Very.co.uk|Converse All Star Leather Hi Plimsolls £60.00

So this is it, this is the wishlist. I really would love to get me some topshop jeggings not for any particular reason but to have so I have more jeggings in my wardrobe. Which is the same for the boohoo jeans. No one can have too many jeggings or jeans!

I'm dying to get me some leather converse, I saw the US Footlocker ones first and love how it is white all the way through even the logo but was disappointed to find that the UK Footlocker doesn't have them *sigh*. So im hoping they could maybe ship internationally if I get the money, and if they dont I will have to opt for the Very.co.uk versions which are also leather but the only thing putting me off is the red line running around them.

The Hunter boots are my ultimate fave I love them to the max and would be so excited to have them in my hands. Perfect wellies for winter and summer, especially for festivals. Yay. The RI top with the dog bite is crazy and reminds me of the Givenchy dog which isn't really my cup of tea but this definitely is (even though I don't drink tea).

Finally the last two RI print tops are so ready for summer and so fresh. I'm not one for too much colour but would easily pair them up with black leggings or jeggings. They are all such beautiful pieces that can work together mix and match.

Have you got anything you're lusting for?

Hippie Sunnies

Hey dolls, just a short post to show you this beaut I picked up from River Island! Originally I was just browsing the store with my mumma and started ogling at the accessories, then all of a sudden my eyes saw these beautiful sunglasses from across the room staring at me. Only to find out they were the last pair stocked, so I grabbed them and ran to the till - fate!

[Beautiful Hippie sunnies as my mumma calls em]

They set me back a decent £13 but they are so lovely I could deal with the price tag, the sunnies are octagon shape and have sepia tinted glass. I love it.

Sorry for the short post but be sure to check the blog for more and a double post next week *eek*
Let me know if you've found any gems lately!
