La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] Review

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] Review

I was kindly sent the Effaclar Duo + from none other than the magnificent people at Escentual. I have heard so much about the brand La Roche-Posay amongst the blogger-sphere, but I never had the chance to purchase and indulge in this miracle worker. As many of you know I have oily combination skin and suffered with acne during my teens and I am always on the search for something that will improve my scars and marks as well as my overall tone and even out my complexion. So I jumped at the chance to review something that might just do that.

Effaclar Duo + is formulated to help troublesome skin and target key signs of oily, blemish prone skin and intends on correcting the appearance of blemishes and unclogging pores. Sounds like a miracle worker right? The formula is a gel cream consistency, that is lightweight and sinks instantly into the skin just like butter. It isn't sticky, doesn't leave any unwanted residue and sits perfectly under makeup.

The Effaclar Duo + claims to help protect against red or brown marks.
After 24 hours of usage imperfections are meant to look visibly less red.
After 8 days of usage imperfections are meant to appear significantly reduced.
After 4 weeks pores are meant to look and feel unclogged, skin texture looks refined and controls the appearance of shine.

After using the product for little over a week I can gladly say I have fallen in love with this beauty. And it has fallen perfectly into my skincare routine, morning and night. Although it hasn't cleared my old acne scares it definitely has helped to control shine throughout the day and my skin feels so soft. The biggest results I have noticed is that it never made me breakout at all, and that is always a plus when testing out new products.

For a frugal little bug like me I would prefer if the Effaclar Duo + was cheaper as £15.50 is a little steep for me considering you only get 40 ml. But then again you cant complain when a product works well and this certainly does.

I look forward to doing another in-depth review at the end of the month to see the results with my skin after using it continuously and working it into my skincare regime.

Thank you so much Escentual for letting me work with you and for the Bioderma Samples.
